A Different Way to Discover Madagascar

A Trip Like No Other

Because a trip to Madagascar deserves better than a standardised itinerary.

Experiences Off the Beaten Path

Thanks to our network of local partners and communities, we open the door to unspoiled places and moments rarely found on traditional tours: a night camping in the wild, an encounter with villagers that tour buses never reach.

Wildlife Found Nowhere Else on Earth

Indri-Indri, sifakas, chameleons, Aye-Aye, humpback whales: exceptional biodiversity, observed in its natural habitat, throughout the regions and across the seasons.

A Pace That Stays Flexible, Even Once You’re There

Your itinerary isn’t set in stone from day one. Depending on the weather, a spontaneous idea, or an unexpected encounter, your guide can adjust the programme right there on the ground.

A Trip That Gives Back to the Region

We work with carefully selected Malagasy drivers, guides, accommodations, and service providers, so your trip contributes directly to the local economy.

Good to Know

Practical Information for Your Trip to Madagascar

Most travellers need a tourist visa, which you can apply for online through the official eVisa Madagascar platform, or get on arrival. For stays of up to 30 days: €30 (1–15 days) or €35 (16–30 days). Your passport must remain valid for at least 6 months after your return date.

Make sure your vaccinations are up to date and check with your doctor before you leave. Malaria is present in some regions, so mosquito protection is recommended.

Madagascar is easy to explore with peace of mind when you have the right support. With Lemur Safari, you benefit from a team who knows the terrain, knows what precautions to take, and stays with you throughout your trip.

From April to October, the dry season makes travel around the island easier. From July to September, Sainte-Marie is known for humpback whale watching. From December to March, the rainy season can make some roads harder to access. We’ll advise you on the best time for your specific itinerary.

As a general guide, plan for around €100 to €160 per person per day for a comfortable trip, depending on accommodations, activities, and services chosen. To get the exact price for your project, contact us for a personalised quote.

Have a question about your trip? Our team knows the ground and can advise you even before your itinerary is finalised.
